BACK-END MPI PROVIDER

Run transactions through 3D Secure authentication.
What is an MPI provider?

An MPI (merchant plug-in) provider is a software designed to offer 3D Secure verification to online transactions.

How is PAAY involved?

Being a pioneer of 3D Secure in the US, PAAY is a certified MPI provider, offering the benefits of its technology in an easy to implement documentation, to all e-commerce merchants.

How does PAAY’s MPI provider work?

PAAY’s solution sits between the shopping cart and the gateway and sends the transaction details to 3D Secure’s system.  By doing so, we attach “three lines of code” that qualify the transaction as 3D Secure protected, shifting liability to the card issuers in the case of fraud.

How can merchants use PAAY’s MPI provider? How does the integration work?

Merchants can use PAAY’s MPI provider as a back-end tool, integrating our technology into their existing checkout flow.  Merchants can integrate PAAY’s 3D Secure authentication in their checkout flow in two ways: Their developer can use our SDK for any PHP-based websites, or our open API documentation for all other carts.

How long does the integration take?

The integration takes up to a few hours, and even though it is an easy, straightforward process, we always have a developer available if needed.

PAAY PAYMENT FORM

Use our payment form that verifies transactions through
3D Secure.
What is a PAAY payment form?

This is PAAY’s hosted checkout form. Merchants can use our API documentation to connect their website and redirect their consumers here, capturing their payment information. You can find more about the different features of how this will look here.

What is the difference between a PAAY payment form and the back-end MPI provider?

Both the PAAY payment form and back-end MPI provider send transaction details through the 3D Secure program, in order to authenticate and qualify them at lower rates, as well as for chargeback protection. However, when only integrating our back-end MPI to the checkout flow, a merchant still uses their existing checkout form.

How do merchants add the PAAY payment form to their website?

To connect and redirect a merchant’s checkout to the PAAY payment form, developers can use our API documentation. Just like with our back-end solution, the integration takes only a few hours, and even though it is an easy, straightforward process, we always have a developer available if needed.
